On The Job Training for Residential Services-Direct Care Staff


It shall be the policy of the Board to ensure that all new employees of residential services receive on the job training. A checklist has been developed for this purpose which is divided into eleven basic areas of training. The eleven areas include:

  • Personnel.
  • Safety / Environmental.
  • Medical.
  • Behavioral.
  • Dietary.
  • Financial.
  • Social / Abuse.
  • Transportation.
  • Program Implementation.
  • Staff Performance.
  • Applied Positive Programming.
