Non-Disclosure of Confidential Information


Procedure:

The protection of confidential business information and trade secrets is vital to the interests and the success of MDCBDSN. Such confidential information includes, but is not limited to, the following examples:


  • compensation data up to annual salary of $50,000
  • computer programs and codes
  • consumer and agency personnel list
  • financial information
  • pending projects and proposals
  • consumer information

Any request for information shall be forwarded to the Executive Director per Freedom of Information requirements.

All employees will be required to sign a confidentiality statement as a condition of employment. Employees who improperly use or disclose trade secrets or confidential agency or consumer information will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment and legal action, even if they do not actually benefit from the disclosed information.

Purpose

To provide for the protection of confidential business information and trade secrets vital to the interests and the success of MDCBDSN.
