Severance Pay
Procedure:
MDCBDSN may provide severance pay to eligible employees whose employment is terminated, as determined by MDCBDSN in its sole discretion. Severance pay may be provided (at the Board's discretion) to the following eligible employee classifications:
- Permanent full-time employees.
- Permanent part-time employees.
Specifically excluded from benefits under this provision are employees who:
were hired as temporary employees;
were offered but refused to accept another suitable position with the organization.
