  1. Outings within the county may be approved by the program administrator or their designee. Approval must be obtained prior to the outing date.

  2. Outings outside of the county must be approved by the Executive Director or their designee.

  3. Out of State outings need to be approved by the Executive Director. There must be adequate funds in the budget for the outing.

  4. It will be the responsibility of the appropriate supervisor and administrator to ensure sufficient staff are assigned to the outing to provide for accountability and safety needs.

  • The program may charge a fee to consumers/families to offset the cost of the outing.
  • Outings should focus on community awareness, socialization, survival skills and integration.
  • Purpose

    To establish procedures for approval of outings.
