Termination by Resignation or Dismissal


Procedure:

An employee may terminate their employment with MDCBDSN by resignation or dismissal.

  1. Termination by Resignation
    1. The employee should submit a written letter of resignation which gives specific reasons for their resignation to the Executive Director.
    2. An exit interview to clarify reasons for resignation shall be held with the Human Resource Director no later than the last day of employment. (Form attached)
    3. It is up to the discretion of the Executive Director to decide if there is a need to work a notice. This decision will be based on the needs of the Agency.
  2. Termination by Dismissal
    1. The Executive Director and Human Resource Director will decide if a notice of no more than fifteen (15) calender days should be given to an employee who is being discharged.
    2. An exit interview shall be held with the Human Resource Director no later than the last day of employment.

Purpose

To provide a process by which employees may be terminated by resignation or dismissal.
