Agency Fee Schedule

Procedure:

Room and Board fees will include a charge based on the estimated replacement value of our home's mortgage expense over a 30 year period at the SCDDSN approved rate of interest. Room and Board fees will also include food, utilities, telephone, pest control, cable/satellite TV, maintenance and maintenance supplies, repairs, yard maintenance, household supplies, furnishings and property insurance. Any food stamps approved through the SNAP Program will be deducted from the total roomand board costs for each consumer as indicated in their financial plan. The maximum charge for CTH II residents for the room and board fee will be capped at an amount that will be established by the Board. The room and board charge for CRCF residents will be established by the Optional State Supplement Program of the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

An individual's monthly room and board schedule will be established based on the average facility costs as indicated by the latest audited fiscal year. This schedule will include the costs outlined above and will become part of the resident's financial plan. The plan will be given to each resident and/or their parent/guardian. Each resident's monthly spending will be set based on the consumer's financial plan. The amount of room and board will be adjusted should there not be enough money left over from all their revenue sources for the consumer to have their monthly spending amount indicated in their financial plan.

The following items are the responsibility of the CRCF/CTH consumer and may be approved out of their approved monthly spending amount. If the residential consumer and their family is unable to pay for some or all of the following items, then the agency may pay for these costs on a case by case basis if approved by the Executive Director or their designee:

  1. Medical and dental bills that are not covered by Medicaid or insurance.
  2. Personal Hygiene items.
  3. Medication not covered by Medicaid or insurance.
  4. Recreational outings at the Day Program.
  5. Haircuts, manicures, etc.
  6. Room and Board payments (see below)*.
  7. Clothing and other personal items.
  8. Life Insurance premiums.
  9. Pre-need burial plan.
